I just received this set of ILANENA EMUPAIYA monsters released at Pachikaijusummit 2007.I’ve seen the larger versions, but I’m a total fan of mini size. They are pink, yet actually glow in the dark.
L to R we have Space eel Metorokabyan, H Hydrogen beast,and my fave of the bunch Fifth Dimension Monster BETARUS who is all over the place! Just another nice day hanging out on the putting green without their clubs.
It’s my understanding that these are based on old made-up monsters (Patchi-Kaiju) immortalized on playing cards back in the 70′s.
ILANENA has also made a few other color ways I think I will need to get.These are a total pocket size treat.

Metorokabyan is my fave out of the three, but these guys drive me crazy. Apparently the original designs came from trading cards that were included with Kewpie Mayonnaise.

Love the shots! They’re based on illustrated playing cards packaged with Kewpie brand mayonnaise in the ’70s. That means fifty-two total possibilities… Rumor has it he’s working on a new series of three.
